About

Get to know me.

  ̌

Portrait by Kyle Michaels.

I’m Hannah,

a photographer and creative director living and working in Chicago (sometimes). I share true, impactful, dignified stories.

My goal as a humanitarian professional is to provide balance. To every creative spark, there must be structure; to every how, there must be a why. My experience as a creative lead in the nonprofit sector has taught me that data and processes are as much of an art as video and design — they must co-exist to make a sustainable difference.

This philosophy informs my leadership style: I choose my teams carefully, provide a balance of structure and trust and, above all, encourage experimentation. Pursuing great things means embracing failure as well as success, and I am a good friend to both.

Though I am proud of and excited about my professional life, it’s not my identity. I love volunteering, rock climbing, road trips, music of all kinds and any vegetarian food I can get my hands on. I’m a foster mom to many sweet dogs, and a permanent mom to many sweet plants. I can’t keep my toes warm. My bike is orange.

You can get in touch with me by submitting a form on my Contact page. I’m looking forward to creating something beautiful and true, together.
